Barra de Cunhau
A gem of the region, it's a real paradisiac spectacle, offered to the eyes of the visitors, with a wide estuary with quiet waters looking into a beach with white sand and coconut palms.

Barra de Cunhaú
Still unknown a few years ago, the village of Barra de Cunhaú attracts more and more visitors every year due to the tranquility and beauty of the place. A part of the beach is classified ecological sanctuary of the marine turtles.

In the arrival in this fishermen quiet village, it is a real paradisiacal spectacle which offers to the eyes of the visitors, the wide estuary of quiet water of the rivers 'Curimatàu' and 'Cunhaú', the strong sea which collides on the sand barrier in front of village and sight on the magnificent dunes and strips of coconut palms.

This river crosses several regions and cities, 'Nova Cruz', 'Pedro Velho' and 'Canguaretama' then joins the river 'Cunhau' before throwing itself into the sea in 'Barra de Cunhaú' where these two rivers widen of several hundreds meters.
