This ecological park, 'Água das Dunas', is comprised of vegetation of 'mata', fixed dunes and lagoons. It is an ecological sanctuary maintained and protected by the private sector, which guarantees the preservation of nature and the environment.

The vegetation, 'mata' houses many especies of trees, such as Red-Wood, Pau-ferro, Pau-d'arco, Gameleira, in addition to bromeliaceae and orchids which provide color and a perfume scent to the area.

The fauna is represented by small animals; such as sagouins, foxes and wildcats.

The park can be visited by Buggy, in rides “Com ou sem emoção?”. Small flags indicate the route in order to guide the visitations. From its high point you have an incredible view of Natal and its new bridge, the Newton-Navarro Bridge...

The admintance to the park is paid (R$ 5,00) per person, the number of Buggys is very restricted and you sometimes may have the impression of being alone in the desert.
