The church Santo Antônio known as the 'Igreja do Galo', was built in 1766, it is the best example of Barroco' architectural style. Situated next to a Franciscan convent, it possesses a magnificent altar sculptured in cedar and shelters the museum of sacred art which contains an important collection.

Of a very beautiful neo-classic architecture, inaugurated on March 29th, 1902, it keeps a memory of 25 thousand volumes, collection of magazines and maps on the colonial, imperial and republican history of the state and of Brazil, as for instance the manuscript of the first state constitution.

Square in September, inaugurated in 1922 with civic parades and which faces the 'Palacio Potengi 'the ancient building of the government and at present a museum. It has also the name of the square of the 3 powers as local of the 'Prefeitura de Natal', the Legislative Assembly and the Court of Justice of the state. It is also used for musical shows.

The museum of the sacred art is situated in the left part of the church 'Igreja do Galo'. It is a separate attraction and contains pictures, paintings, sculptures and other objects 'barroques' of the period of XVII till XXth century.
Opened from Monday till Friday, from 8 am till 5 pm.
On Saturday from 8 am till 2 pm.
