The little town of Acari, situated in the center of the Seridó Region, has a particular charm and a very welcoming population. The city arose from the expansion of the cattle farms in the XVIII and XIX centuries.

For several years classified as the first or second cleanest city of Brazil, Acari possesses, besides its magnificent Gargalheiras Lake, other numerous attractions.

You can admire the chapel ‘Nossa 'Senhora da Guia’, built in 1737 and patron of the city and the luxurious ‘Igreja Matriz’ founded in 1863 on the top of the village.
