Real small pearl of the region, the Tourinhos beach is worth the visit for its practically virgin natural beauty.
The Tourinhos name is due to some dark stones situated over the beach and with a shape reminding small bulls. Situated in a little more than one kilometer of the village 'Reduto', it was the refuge of Dutch expelled from Touros in 1654.
The beach with a form of handle in its West side possesses peaceful waters, where the bathing is a real enjoyment. A beautiful strip of coconut palm separates it from the village.
The beach of Marco, on the north, is isolated and seems to live outside the time. It forms a pretty landscape with some caves, sailing boats, and the 'Marco' replica; the original one is placed inside the fortress of the 'Reis Magos' in Natal.
The 'Marco' is considered by certain historians as the oldest brand left by the Portuguese in Brazilian land which make think for them that Brazil was discovered on this coast part, debate subject.
Do not miss the visiting to the lake 'Boca do Campo'a nd the caves 'Morais'.
