The beach of Tabatinga, in its part exposed to the strong waves is a meeting place of the surfers of the Southern part of Natal who enjoy the privilege of a good surf spot.
The beach in other part is surrounded by a barrier of reefs that form small bays without waves, where families enjoy with children feeling safe. Normally these bays have also very nice warm water.

The beautiful beach of Camurupim, in the south, is formed by small coves protected from waves by barriers of rocks. The natural pools permit a quiet bath and to swim easily.
