The 'Newton Navarro' bridge, of an impressive architectural beauty, is the biggest engineering work built in the state. It is also known under the name of 'Bridge of Everybody' or 'Bridge Forte-Redinha'. Its name immortalize the local artist ‘Newton Navarro'.
The bridge connects above 'Rio Potengi', two neighborhoods: Santos Reis, where is located the fortress, and the Redinha Beach, on the other riverside.
It shall allow a fast economic and real-estate development of Redinha and many districts on the northern side of the city.
Its characteristics:
. 1,5 Kilometer of length;
. 53 meters of height in its center, allowing the passage of the strong draft boats.
. It contains 2 double tracks for cars, and a pedestrian and bicycle track and on each side.
