Situated in the part north of Natal, on the edges of Potengi River, this beach is accessible from Natal by the new bridge 'Newton Navarro' above this river. It is the 'entrance' door for the visit of the northern beaches, the dunes of Genipabu and Jacumã.
In spite of belonging to Natal, Redinha keeps aspects of fishermen's village with some beach huts (barracas) and restaurants, from where you can admire the river meeting the ocean, a source of inspiration for the local poets.

The prolongation of Redinha, a beach called 'Santa Rita' spreads out on several kilometers and ends in a small pleasant handle for bathing. Until now this was an almost empty beach, but this is already changing because many locals are opening their beach houses during weekends, due to the fact of the quickly access by the new Natal bridge.
