Economy & Tourism Geography & History Culture Events

The fortress was, for a long time, the representative of the city defense, its shape like a star assuring with its artillery an excellent protection.

Reconverted into museum, some of its rooms were fitted out to redraw its story and the confrontations that it was witness, but also the colonization period and the fights between conquerors Portuguese and Dutch.
